Funny how I go to this big run down building ready to take pictures of ruins and stuff, and come across something quite unexcpected as this: the pristine skeleton of a small bird. Credit goes to my friend Eric for spotting it, he has a knack for finding animal skeletons...

i really like this, not specifically for the macabre, but i like macro photography... it shows alot of texture and detail.... wonderful

I find this to be a very intricate piece. Its morbid and slightly eerie in a surreal sort of way. I can look at this shot in two different ways. Sad and like you said peaceful. I Get more of a sad vibe than a peaceful one, only because my first thought came to me as we all die alone. I have no Idea why I thought that first, but anywho its a very crisp photograph and I like it ^^

I don't really find it sad, but like... you walk into a tomb. It's like excavation and you're looking for the lost treasures of the history. I don't know what i'm rambling on about, but i think it's beautiful in its own sort of way. and it's practically untouched except for the weather and air... and it'll decay and turn to dust.

alright, i'm done. :P

a great find.

Haha, birdy says boo!

Why, thank you! :D

Hmm I agree, I wasn't really trying to be morbid with this. I was keeping an anatomical/observational mindset in regards to the skeleton. Thank you for the kind words :)

You think we all die alone? I don't...

Animals on the other hand seem to like to be alone when they die.

About the piece, it does feel sad as well as peaceful. I don't think it's morbid though...

Thanks for the comment though, I'm glad you found it thought provoking :D
